I was born in Los Gatos, California. When I was four, our family moved to Falcon, Colorado, I lived there until I turned 18. I met my husband Pete at truck driving school in Des Moines, Iowa. We drove over the road for a bit while residing in Salina, Kansas. It was a ton of fun, and I have been in all but four states!
We moved to Cañon City in October of 1994. We have two beautiful daughters together; Nacole is 21 and Kaylan is 19. Nacole lives in Austin, Texas where she attends Concordia University. She will graduate in December with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Communications. Kaylan lives in White Salmon, Washington, doing what she loves: kayaking and working in a quaint little coffee cafe’. I also have two step sons, Robert and Charles, who both live in Colorado.
I have worked for Cañon City schools for over 13 years. I absolutely love this district and the people in it. I worked as a Special Ed Para at CCHS and Harrison. When the new Harrison School K-8 building opened, I was the receptionist and the attendance clerk for two years. I have served in my current position as the Harrison Secretary for the past 9 ½ years. In the Fall, I will start my 4th year coaching volleyball at CCHS, another passion of mine. Again, I love the people I work with and the great friendships that have been made over the years. Harrison and the people in it hold a special place in my heart.
Besides spending time with my wonderful family, I love going to Lake Havasu City, Arizona, to visit my mom and her husband. I also love to play in Cripple Creek and Las Vegas! One day I hope to vacation in Tahiti!
